The Abba is Home painting has emerged as a true reflection of my imagination. As I stand before it, I can’t help but be moved by the emotions it stirs within me. It’s a profound testament to the strength and unity we’ve shown during these incredibly challenging times. It’s truly heartwarming, yet emotionally challenging for children when they are separated from a parent serving in the IDF. But when that father returns home, it’s pure joy, and the happiness of being together again shines through the canvas.
In this painting, I wanted to convey that exact feeling, that sense of return, and the depth of those emotions. Every stroke is to tell a story of our journey, reminding us of the hurdles we’ve faced and the resilience we’ve exhibited as a community. Let’s also hope and pray that soon enough such separations will be rare, and everyone can be reunited with their family, sharing moments like this more often.
