About This Painting
This painting depicts the Lubavitcher Rebbe, Rabbi Menachem Mendel Schneerson, of righteous memory (1902-1994). As the seventh leader in the Chabad-Lubavitch global community, he is considered by many to have been the most phenomenal Jewish leader of modern times. To hundreds of thousands of followers and millions of his admirers around the world, he was — and still is, despite his passing — “the Rebbe.”
Due to his relentless campaign of outreach, through connecting and awakening world Jewry to their heritage, today there are thousands of Chabad centers across the globe, and many hundreds of thousands who have been touched by his spirit.
