R’ Chaim Kanievsky

“The Prince of Torah”

This painting was an extremely emotional painting.
I was literally able to feel his joy and his holiness as I painted each detail.

Tears flowed freely as I tried to understand the great Tzadik we lost.

This painting has brought some comfort knowing that we will see R Chaim and the many other holy neshamos again very soon when Mashiach comes

PRINTS are high quality creations that are rolled, unstretched Canvas and need to be framed in glass. To create a Print, an Original painting is professionally scanned to recreate the clarity of each brush stroke. To hang the print without a glass, we add a 3-inch white border to your print. You can then bring your print to your local framer, and have it stretched and mounted on a wooden stretcher bar with wrapped edges. It can then be hung as is, or framed.

STRETCHED AND MOUNTED CANVAS PRINTS: Stretched canvases are constructed around a full 1.5 inch hardwood frame, and are easy to hang with pre-installed hardware and a hanging kit. It can either be hung as is, or framed.

ADD GOLD LEAF AND VARNISH. Add metallic gold leaf and varnish over your print to make your painting pop and look alive. (Only available on rolled canvas prints. Available on stretched and mounted prints for local pickup in Jackson, NJ.)

About This Painting

Rabbi Chaim Kanievsky, Known as the “Prince of Torah”,  was born in 1928. He is the son of Rabbi Yaakov Yisrael Kanievsky, known as “the Steipler,” and Rebbetzin Miriam Karelitz, sister of Rabbi Avraham Yeshayahu Karelitz—the Chazon Ish.  Like his father and uncle, Rabbi Chaim Kanievsky is considered one of the greatest scholars of our generation, and thousands of people each week, in person and through the mail, seek his blessing, halachic guidence, and personal advice. A few months after Rabbi and Rebbetzin Kanievsky were married in 1951, they moved to Bnei Brak, east of Tel Aviv, a city whose population today is about 150,000 inhabitants. Rabbi and Rebbetzin Kanievsky had eight children. The Kanievsky home has always been open to anybody who needs help. All of Rabbi and Rebbetzin Kanievsky’s children describe the great respect their parents had for each other. Rabbi Chaim Kanievsky – the undisputed Prince of Torah (Sar HaTorah) – was buried March 20, 2022 in the city of Bnei Brak in central Israel, as hundreds of thousands converged to pay their last respects.
