Bais Hamikdash refers to the Temple and its surrounding buildings that sat on the Temple Mount. The first and second temples were both destroyed, but God placed a third and final temple within our hearts, making him accessible everywhere without the physical temple.

SEMI ORIGINAL GICLÉE is a reproduction on mounted and stretched canvas with wrapped edges. The entire canvas is then painted over, recreating the look of an original painting with brush strokes and texture. Much time and effort goes into creating each giclée to make it into a masterpiece. It can either be hung as is, or framed.

About This Painting

The Bais Hamikdash was constructed by King Solomon to serve as the center of the Jewish nation. Today, the Western Wall is all that remains of the Temple Mount complex. Located on Mount Moriah, the Temple was home to the Holy of Holies where the Ark of the Covenant was kept. Pilgrims traveled to the Temple to pray, recognize Jewish holidays, and make offerings. All spiritual practices took place within the walls of the Temple with the guidance of the priest and other Temple staff.

Today, our bodies contain the Holy Temple, and we are called to pray thrice daily. We no longer make animal sacrifices, but we give up our worldly impulses to instead be filled with godliness. The Bais Hamikdash continues to exist within the hearts of the Jewish people all around the world.
