In the Jewish tradition, the union between a man and a woman is meant to represent the union of God and the Israelites that took place on Mount Sinai. Jewish weddings are no simple affair, and to say they are elaborate would be an understatement. The vibrant colors in this depiction speak to the intricate nature of the Jewish wedding.

SEMI ORIGINAL GICLÉE is a reproduction on mounted and stretched canvas with wrapped edges. The entire canvas is then painted over, recreating the look of an original painting with brush strokes and texture. Much time and effort goes into creating each giclée to make it into a masterpiece. It can either be hung as is, or framed.

About This Painting

This vibrant Nechama Fine Art painting features the bride dressed in a bight white gown in the center of the large circle of wedding guests. She stands next to her groom under the chuppah as a klezmer band plays beside them. Everything about a Jewish wedding is dressed in spiritual symbolism. The bride’s white gown symbolizes God’s pure love. The chuppah represents the tent of Sarah and Abraham, which was open to guests at all times. Most importantly, the wedding unites the souls of the bride and groom as one soul, creating a mirror image of God’s union with his children on Mount Sinai. Blue is the main color in this painting and is a symbol for divinity in Judaism. The entire wedding party is surrounded by blue, a symbol of God’s presence that surrounds the couple and their families on their wedding day.
