This painting depicts this miracle where the laws of nature were suspended by G-d, showing the Jewish people, and the world, that there is a higher power that rules the world. The wonder of the splitting of the sea inspires us to thank G-d for the miracle of redeeming the Jewish nation from slavery in Egypt, and celebrating our birth as the Jewish nation.
