Reb Shayale was a towering Torah scholar, yet in his humility he referred to himself with the humble, diminutive name “Shaya’le.” He is famous for the miracles he wrought on behalf of many Jewish people, praying on their behalf when they needed blessings for health, livelihood or help with any aspect of their lives.
To this day, more than 90 years after his passing, thousands converge on his burial place each year on the anniversary of his passing to connect with this holy tzaddik – righteous saint.
